I’m Cassidy Jade, an artist based in O'ahu, Hawai’i. I work in oil paint and metal, creating pieces inspired by my island life. 

My whole life, I knew that I wanted to be an artist. I started drawing before I could walk. My first drawing was Jesus on the crucifix, and my parents saw my potential, so I began studying under a professional artist for 12 years, learning almost every medium. I was honored to have won many awards for my artwork throughout my elementary and high school years. I then attended the University of Hawai'i in Mānoa to pursue my passion for art. There, I deepened my foundation as a painter, and became well versed in welding and blacksmithing.

Art is essential as it enriches our lives, and is also a powerful universal form of communication. Everyday, O’ahu is my inspiration.  I aspire to share my expressions to enhance our understanding of each other and the environment in which we live, to foster reflection, respect, and gratitude.
